Bed slat stops

Does anyone know if the plastic bed slat stops have a name?  I need another set for a single bed arrangement.

Maybe these would work?  Drill a hole to fit the peg; maybe add a small screw to secure.  Probably available at a hardware store.

Thanks BrianZ.  We may go that route.

Are they really even necessary? I never installed mine.

I’m sure Elsie can supply them.

@Marceline, did you make your own slats?  What did you use?

Since we will convert from a single to a double bed at intervals, any stops that I use for the edge of the single may be in the way of the slats for the double arrangement.  Maybe I don’t need them for the single after all!

@SAM, there are a bunch of posts about bed slats. I made my own out of 1X4 poplar, then used a polyurethane finish. Matches the rest of the woodwork very well. I can't comment on the stops, as when I made mine it was for the full "queen" size bed. I cut the width of one of the slats so there is very little wiggle room between the slats, but still enough for expansion. For your application, I'm thinking some thing along the lines of @BrianZ's suggestion. Personally, I don't think I would even bother with the screws if the hole for the pegs were snug enough. That way you could convert from single to double use easily. Just my humble opinion. :)

Good idea Eric.  I can just pop out the pegs.  We had 3 x 9 inch poplar slats cut.  Pick them up today and will see if they slide or not.
