2017 T@B Outback. Just got it home and hoping to go camping this weekend. I know. I know. We need a new tow vehicle. 2000 Excursion V10 4x4 gets 9.8mpg with out the T@B hooked up. It dropped to 7.4mpg on the way home from TAC RV in Moyock NC. The wife retires this coming October and we want to start taking it out for longer and further out trips. We're gonna look at a Tacoma at the end of the year. Really liked the T@B but fell in love with the Outback version. Looks rugged and cool. I wanna put a dual 6v battery setup in it for longer boonedocking. Any pics and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats - And I thought my 14 sucked :-)

Its kinda a toss up between a Jeep and a Tacoma. Dose the Jeep seem to have plenty of power pulling up mountains? Is it an automatic or a manual?

Mine's a manual. It does as well as any six cylinder on your standard 6% grades. Am in the slow lane with everyone else. Smaller grades aren't a problem. Higher are a problem for everyone.

Rugged and cool, yes, no doubt.
Unfortunately, what I hear endlessly is "cute!"

Lovely! You'll have lots of fun!Red and White, 2017 Max S being towed by a 2014 Honda Ridgeline. Hello Mountains!

I just purchased mine. Am going to pull it with a '14 VW Tiguan. Max tow weight is 2170 so just make it.. Hope it works OK as we just retired and my wife informs me we will not be purchasing another car.

Tow weights are all over the map.You will be fine with 2170 as long as you have all the factory recommended add ons.We had a 2005 MDX and it had to have an extra transmission cooler and a power steering cooler to tow anything. It also had 2 transmissions replaced under warranty so a good thing we put the required stuff on. After the second tranny, it got traded for a 2009 Honda Pilot that has a much stronger transmission. I towed my 2500 lb boat with a Honda Element for about 2000 km a year and had no problems. It was only rated for 1500 lbs but Australian models were rated for 3000 as long as the trailer had brakes on it. No difference between the Aussie and Canadian Elements so I never worried about the extra weight. Nice T@B, really like the colours.2014 T@B M@XS; 2017 Ford Transit Low Roof, Reg. Wheel Base
