400 Owners-Tongue Box?
Do you find that you have enough space in 400's for hoses, cords, tools, etc?
If you have added a 400 tongue box, may will you please share a photo?

Having moved up from a T@B, and a Silver Shadow before that, we find the storage in the 400 to be plenty adequate for our needs. We're using the original T@B-400 tongue box. It does not have a back or bottom (hopefully future models will) we've put a plastic wastebasket in the space that is usually utilized for a battery and bungeed it in place. That's where we store the equipment and supplies (other than sewer hose) for visits to the dump station. We transport our freshwater hose up there too, we use Gear Ties to attach it to the propane bottle. Chocks and leveling blocks, water filter and pressure regulator, hitch ball and pin locks are in a basket just inside the cargo door under the bed. Sewer hose support is next to the basket. We could easily store the power hose and EMS surge protector there but find it's more convenient during setup to have them in the truck bed. That's also where we keep our tool box, chairs, tables, rug, canopy, etc. Have fun getting organized and getting out there. We're truly loving our 400 and suspect you will love yours!

Steve and Karen,
Thanks for taking time to share all this info about 400 storage. The waste basket inside the propane box is a great idea.
Our six month wait is now down to two and we are getting very excited. Beginning to think seriously about how we will outfit our new 400 after it arrives. Your ideas will certainly save us some $$ and time that we will now be able to spend on the road. I love T@B forum for finding new friends like you.
See you on the road,
Alan and Joan

With a few modifications it can be a useful space

We haven't modified our tongue box, but we do use it for extra storage. We keep our dump equipment in there.
Turns out the 400 tongue box can hold a Home Depot-style bucket (all our dump equipment is color-coded orange & red, so that work with our color scheme). We simply drilled some drainage holes in the bottom of the bucket and bungeed it in position.
It fits our Camco 5" Clear Sewer Hose Adapter, Camco 15ft Sidewinder RV Sewer Hose Support, Camco RhinoFlex 25' Black Tank Flush Hose, and Camco RV Disposable Dump Gloves.
The actual stinky slinky itself (a Camco RhinoFLEX 15ft RV Sewer Hose Kit) we keep in the 400's built-in hose storage bin. Our sewer hose kit fits in the hose storage bin with all fittings attached to the hose except for the 4-in-1 adapter. The adapter goes in the tongue bucket.
My wife and I should probably buy stock in Camco, lol.
When it's all ready to go, there's so much stuff in the tongue bucket that the tongue box lid holds it all inside the bucket. If you didn't fill up the bucket, then you'd definitely want to have a lid on the bucket (or find some other way of keeping the contents from bouncing out down the road).

Thanks guys,
These simple ideas look really good and will save us from buying a tongue box. Sounds as though the 400 has as much storage as needed. Good news for us.
