I do around 60-65 too, but when I'm patient enough (and when other people on the road are patient enough), I get much better gas mileage at 55. -

Perhaps their 12v-Out is unregulated, but if you simply charge your battery by plugging the shore power into the generator, you won't overcharge the battery. -
