PEX might be 'tough', but I've learned how to replace the black tank drain gate-valve, as well as the toilet inlet valve. They aren't made of PEX, sad to say... Worth it to winter…3 -

Same here, in western NY. We leave everything in the Tab. Cold, snowy. Our winter is drier air than other seasons, so I'd think bagging them would trap the moisture.2
