I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  It would be great if they include a parts department that we could access. The dealers are just middle men and generally not that interested, helpful or knowledgeable. I think it would go a long way …

  Regarding damage, the fan always was on but the compressor wouldn't kick on which tells me there's some sensor that prevents it from kicking on when it's too hot. I would agree.
