I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  IMHO You should be fine. No need for WD hitch or sway control if your trailer is loaded properly.

  That is why it is important to know what your engines maximum torque RPM is. Your engine is running at it’s optimal speed in any gear.
