  I put two layers of taillight repair tape over the LED light, changed it to amber and toned it down quite a bit.

  Lexan cut to same size as vent, 1/2" foam around edge and J-bolts hooked to fins inside vent cover. Loosen the 2 wing nuts and turn J=bolts to remove. Water and dust proof.

  Ihttp://www.homedepot.com/s/j-bolt?NCNI-5 It's actually called a J-bolt. I used a wing nut with a rubber flat washer under the steel washer to seal the hole.
