With a cover you have to open the tailgate first. Without a cover everything is exposed to the weather and everyone's view. Unhitching every time you want to access it is not a good option.1 -

Interesting. I wouldn't need all the colors. I added red so I wouldn't ruin my night vision when using a telescope and camping at dark sky campgrounds. Changed the outside light to red also.2
