I used a Thule aerodynamic roof box on my Tacoma’s fiberglass shell’s roof rack when I left to spend the winter in Arizona. Gas mileage loss was negligible, and the waterproof storage was excellent.2 -

If it were me with as important as this is, I would want to make sure the email got to the warranty department, and I would take care of it myself. You can always CC the dealership on your email.2
