Just finished our version of this great mod. I added foam blocks between the louvers to help keep the hot and cold air separate.2 -

Most plastic shops and sign shops can find this for you. Trade name is "Coroplast". 2,3,4,6,10mm are the common thicknesses. Protector on our Outback looks like 6mm. Cost is about $30 (cdn)…3 -
