Okay issue resolved. It's working well and the light is defective. New one on order, 2 spade connectors, I'll do it myself. Apparently a very common issue. -

Cable ran behind plate. Connectors are now heat shrink wrapped. Camera mounted using existing plate light screw. Plate light doesn't interfere with camera due to offset mounting.
