Hello all, Does anyone have any suggestions on reliable wifi boosters? Over the summer, I plan to travel and work remotely, so I'll need to have internet access. Most wifi in campgrounds is hit or miss. Since I need something reliable, I was thinking about getting a wifi booster. What are your experiences with them? Do…
Does anyone use a WiFi booster, range extender, repeater, amplifier or something to improve reception in campgrounds? Sometimes just opening a browser is difficult. If a page has a picture or embedded video it might lock everything up. This even happens when it shows 4 or 5 bars signal strength. I'm looking for suggestions…
Had a chance to use the booster today. My brother's service is so bad, you can't make a call without dropping it. They have the wifi antenna, but I turned off wifi and gave the Weboost with the window mount antenna a try. With no antenna no 4g, about 2-3 bars of 3g. With the booster, 4G with 3 bars.
Can't answer the first but reading comments here, there, everywhere from others, most campground wifi sucks and you have to make sure you're close enough to the transmitter to get a good signal or get a wifi booster. From my travels, it seems only commercial (and some state) campgrounds have wifi - none of the federals.
After looking at the photos I realized the black cable is actually for my wifi signal booster. The Victron cable is white and you can barely see it just to the right of the black one.
All, I need some advice. We want to stream live sports and video conference while camping. I can try to use my AT&T Hotspot, but wondering if any of you have experience with WiFi Booster/Extender to take advantage of free signals, Mobile Router/Modem Services. Does anyone recommend a set up to achieve what we are trying to…
Jenn - Did you ever get a cell booster? Could antenna mount that also. About the only time I'm within range (boosted or not) of open-access wifi is if I'm parked outside a library :-)
Just a note on wifi - I've virtually given up on it as I travel - about the only places I've found speedy wifi is some libraries and most coffee shop chains. Most iHops have been pretty good also. Campground wifi and chains like McDonalds have been slow as molasses with or without a booster. I've found my Verizon 4G (LTE)…
We have been using an earlier version this BearExtender for years. It makes wifi in most campgrounds work amazingly well in areas where the laptops built in wifi does not work at all. https://www.bearifi.com/collections/cyber-monday-deals-2019/products/bearextender-v3-pc-usb-wifi-booster-new-for-2015 We also have a…
