dont ask why, it is a long painful story. lets just say the remaining stub out of the back tank is not enough to work with. Hoping someone has ideas or can shed some light here. Many thanks in advance. I looked through 30 pages of forum discussions and this looks to be new

Maybe @Dalehelman can help figure this out with you. PS- I think you've got enough campfire stories for a while. You can stop now!

@Tabnero sorry for your current pain. I would not hesitate to contact uCamp, either. They are very good about giving guidance to owners.

@Tabnero sorry for the confusion! It's my theory that our learning experiences with our Tabs, especially the ones that you can't laugh at yet but will later on, make for great campfire stories. We've all got them, but some are better than others, and it helps the new owners learn, too. Either way, I'm sorry your Tab is damaged.2017 T@B 320 Max S silver and cherry red, L@dybug ("Bug" aka my esc@pe pod), TV 2015 Toyota Highlander aka Big Red0

there is nothing to see. the stub that exits the floor was cut at odd angle and now you can not attach anthing to the outer housing. The 3 in stub out leaks. I am furiously looking for a slip in pipe I can glue to have a complete seal and enough of a stub to continue the the pipe on to the gate valveDalehelman said:

the leak starts at the top on the back side

Is this where it is leaking?

yes that is where it starts. Removal of previous work left a stub out with odd cut through it and short, ugly,,,list goes on nature to it0

is there saving grace in the world of abs plastic pipe???

that big rubber sealant is lower on the back side as well. thereby adding such joy to the task at hand1

I mean, I am not a fan of "caulk jobs," but in light of the alternative, can you try to caulk that joint that has failed? I mean like JB weld permanent caulk!TV- '16 Chevy Colorado LT Crew Cab-DuraMax

I would just apply 2 or 3 layers of regular ABS cement to the joint. That should stop the leak and fuse the parts together.

that picture was taken before I new it was leaking a bit, so then I added some sticky flex seal, and it failed. Now I have been taking all that off with some goo off. tomorrow trying some locktight. say a prayer and wish me luck..I really need some time out in the wilderness0
-
Once it is good and clean I would use only ABS cement. It will actually melt and fuse itself to the joints. Other products will only stick to the surface and eventually work loose.

@Tabnero, DH, who has been doing commercial maintenance for nearly 50 years totally agrees with @Dalehelman. Use ABS cement only, and if necessary, more than one application. Good luck.2017 t@b sofitel(Dr@gonsFly)TV 2015 Silverado 2500hd(Behemoth). Wyandotte, Michigan.

I had placed some ABS cement on the out side and it has remained. It appears to be 3 or 4 pin hole sized leaks. So I think I will add some more cement and see if that will stop the dribble0
-
Ok update here. The exterior applied ABS cement has solved the problem and the pipe joint is not leaking. However, I am not particularly trusting of glue jobs so I have assembled a travel repair kit. I found a toilet flange piece that fits inside the 3 inch pipe. It has rubber seal. So I bought 2 and cut a 4 inch section off and put seals on both ends. If the pipe on the tab gets bumped or rattled apart, I will cut off the pipe and insert this solution. Thanks eveyone.

I like it. If you are prepared you’ll probably never need it.
