low ball?

Thinking of offering 20,500 for a new (2020 ) 320-S. Basic but has solar kit.  Dealer lists it a 23,900.

I think thats certainly in the ballpark , perhaps even still a bit high on the price .
Our dealer has a standard 2020 320s , with options - 133w solar, bathroom porthole window AND a boondock front rack on it for sale . Their ASKING price is $20,499 .  They even have a 2020 320 boondock lite , for an asking price of $21,800 .
(We purchased our loaded 2019 320s for $18,500 less than a year ago including a 150mile delivery from them ) .

Another dealer in our area has a 2020 320S (no solar, but it has the bathroom porthole window ) - their asking price is $18,995.

Might get lucky in this economic climate offering 18.5 -19.5 maybe ? Doesn't hurt to try . Once you make an offer, its hard to go down, but easy to go up till they accept !

    Good luck !

Oregon is quite a ways from the NuCamp factory . You may see an increase in the freight charges on your side of the country . That may effect prices a bit , so take that into consideration . Might be an additional 1k in freight alone . You can still try to make a lower offer, but the dealer may not have as much room to move as a dealer closer to the factory . Seems like NuCamps are always more expensive "out west" . They may jump on a 19.5 offer , doesn't hurt to try .

Maybe a counter offer 20k out the door may do the trick . A "meet them in the middle" offer .
Wait them out a bit , they are hungry . Especially to move out a now "leftover" model , since they likely have a growing floorplan of 2021's coming in .

In the end you did get the "lowball" you were hoping for, and pretty quick too . Good deal !
You can wait them out, and the may take 20k , but is $500 worth losing it to another buyer ?

If you are happy , make the deal !
Dont forget the 2020 is the end of the era for the classic T@B , if you cant find another one, you may be stuck with the 2021 model (and more $$$) . Some like it , some dont !

The five most important words in a price negotiation...…"Let me think about that". You started the process, they countered, you can (and should) come back with a split. If they stick to their number then you use the five words... it takes a bit of stomach to wait them out if the purchase is something you really want...but if the money is important to you, go one more round. In this economy with one out of every 6 folks unemployed and most parks and destinations closed, it's a perfect time for bargain hunting.

I totally agree.  Haggle haggle haggle and always start with a low ball.  They are a dealer so don't worry about offending them with a low price.  I haggled the heck out of my salesman when buying our 2021 400.  And see if you can work them against a second or even third dealer.  Get them on the hook and don't let them get you on the hook.  Tell them you are going to sleep on it and are still looking at another dealer.  They will make money even with a low ball offer.  The mark up on these trailers can huge so there's room to certainly negotiate.  Be patient and like tabiphile said, this is a perfect time for bargain hunting.

Don't mistake that for a sales tax, although it behaves suspiciously like a sales tax... ;)

gspdx...yeah, It was $100, and I think, after reading the convoluted new law..dealers are supposed to pay for it if they bring in the trailer from out of state..not the buyers..then again...
