Mesh cover for Alde heater vents

Well we lost our first little piece of something down an Alde heater vent today. I knew it was just a matter of time. Luckily it was just a small Scrabble letter!

What have you all used as a mesh guard over the vents? I am thinking of getting some black plastic gutter guard from Home Depot. I could cut it to fit and it would allow plenty of airflow. Just wondering if there are some better ideas out there?

I noticed on the 2021 400 that there is a grate over the Alde vent on the galley counter. It looked simple and effective. Next on my list of things to do. I have some perforated stainless steel that I will use for the cover.

I wanted to revive this thread rather than start a new one to get ideas on how to cover the Alde convection vents that are behind the kitchen counter and also at the porthole windows and on the floor. I understand newer models have come with covers for at least the kitchen. Can anyone share pictures of what NuCamp or owners have used. My first thought was coated gutter guards cut to size? My test cover is below, but doesn't look good. It appears that only an adhesive would really work and look finished.

My 2019 has openings show below. We have only had one set of keys go behind the kitchen counter, but I am imagining the issues with recovering other objects that find their way into these openings.

Thanks for sharing any pictures or ideas.
