Hi Folks. We are new to the "TAB" family. But not new to Little Guy. We have had a 5 Wide for a couple of years. We have truly enjoyed the LG experience. But we felt we needed a bit more room (and easier access) and a shower & toilet. When we saw they made a unit with the outdoor kitchen we were hooked. We don't consider ourselves  "camper". But more as "travelers". We are both about 5 years from retirement. So we wanted something we could head south with in mid winter. The TAB Max CS-S will do the trick. I am not a big TV fan. But do like to watch RFDTV. On DirectTV. Anyone have any suggestion on the best way to do that? Your help would be much appreciated. I am sure I will be back with more questions. I will be picking up the "Yellow Bird"  on June 5. In Austin TX.  Only seven more sleeps!

Welcome - You'll find a lot of SD plates out there when you hit the road...in almost every campground. SD is the full-time RV'rs friendly state.
Have two brothers in SD so get there often - In fact just passed through.

Hi, Glen and Linda.  Welcome, and have fun with your new T@B.

Check out the various types of portable satellite dishes, say at Camping World.  I bought the Tailgater last winter, which is a DISH based pay as you go satellite dish.  You have it turned on when you're wanting service, and can have it turned off whenever you want (but it can't be turned off for longer than 9 months).  There is one that is based on Direct TV and is pay as you go also.  A bit of research and you'll be able to see your show.  Me?  I want to see the IU Hoosiers Men's Basketball games--Go IU!

I think either provider carries RFDTV (I'm also a fan) for the home market, but I'm not sure about their mobile programming packages.  Something that would need to be checked into before purchasing.

"Only seven more sleeps!"  I love that expression.  It is so much more expressive than seven more days.  My guess is the last sleep will be a little restless in anticipation.  Enjoy!

Patti. Yeh it would be fun to be there the same day. Who knows.
With the weather they are getting. It may happen. As far as the kitchen goes. We are not much on camping. At least not yet. We have taken two 3500 mile plus trips with our Little Guy. In the past two years. And we don't even care food. Other that some cereal for breakfast. And some chocolate brownies for night time snack. Like I said earlier. We are travelers. With the exception of bluegrass festivals. I will be making my third trip to MBOTMA in August. I stay in "rough" camping. The first year I took a two man tent. Last year I took my 5 Wide LG. This year the brand new TAB! The festival is four days. So I will be enjoying all the luxuries that the TAB has to offer. No more one mile bike rides to the public showers:)
My wife has never gone with me. She is not into rough camping. But, who knows. She might reconsider??

So Patti. How far will you travel to pick up your TAB? My trip is just over 1000 miles. One way! But up here in the Midwest. We consider 400 miles. A short trip. Or a day trip:)

ironshadow - brownies, frosted or plain?
I'm a plain guy - luckily most are frosted or this extra 10 lbs would be 20.

Costco bought brownies. Sorry. We take the "easy road" on these. But they are so yummy under the stars!

PS. Only 5 more sleeps!! :)
