Brake controller issue

I have a 2016 Honda Pilot that when I apply the brakes the 10A fuse for the brake lights blows. The trailer is not connected to the car so I believe the only thing that can be causing the problem is the brake controller that the dealer installed. Anyone had a similar issue?

    I have not had that issue with my Honda and brake controller, but a fuse blowing without the trailer connected can really only be a shorted wire in the brake controller installation, or a bad controller itself. My money is on a mis-wired or shorted wire in the installation.
