Toilet flush valve

So I noticed yesterday the flush valve is not closing completely. Just a slight trickle hardly noticeable. The problem is over a period of time it will fill the bowl. I will replace the water control valve under warranty, but in the meantime I have to shut off the city water or the pump. Then I have toopen the sink faucet to relieve pressure or it will fill the bowl. My solution was to install a shutoff valve on the supply line like at home. Cost about $6. This allows me to isolate the toilet and not have to turn offthe water completely and de pressurize the system. Something to consider if you like salving problems before they happen.

Good idea. Do you have a pressure-reducer on your city water connection to the T@b? Wondering if the leak may be related to over-pressure...

Yes I always use a pressure reducer.
