The extenders stay on all the time .We got clear ones and they twist/ lock on just like the hose for empty9ing the holding tanks. We got ours from Camping world...in fact they let us take several out to the T@B to see which one worked best.

It's all in how you want to make thing easier for yourself for convenience. I have this all in a single box and actually did not go up much in weight due to the fact relocated battery and went with fiberglass propane tank. I did not have to make any adjustments to gray/black water.
M/M Gnome. We got a straight one and one that is 90 degrees and articulates. You can see the line on Camping World page. We did not want to make the extension to long as with length it also drops and we did not want to get them below the frame line.

@Tonydjd I bought similar box, can you share the step by step installation..Thanks
We had our dealer order and install the platform when we bought our T@B.
We keep our generator on one side. It's strapped on (and locked on with
a hefty chain). If we're staying somewhere we'll take it off the
platform to move it away from the camper a little bit. (I don't really
like the vibration.) Love the platform!
Do you get any road rash on the generator from oncoming traffic - Would think you could.
We didn't really notice any during our long trip last summer, but we did end up buying a cover for it. (It's a Honda cover and fits a little tight and doesn't quite reach all the way over the "feet"...but it does provide a bit of protection.)
@BIGDOGMOM Contact Elsie at nuCamp and she can give you the current price of the platform. Your local dealer can order and install it for you. I had the platform added when I ordered my 2017 T@b. At that time it was $435.

@BIGDOGMOM I called NuCamp yesterday and spoke with Whitney (works with Elsie) for pricing and specs (I have a 320 S): $342 for the platform. Freight is high due to odd shape. For me to Oregon would be $197! I was also interested in size. She went out to the shop and measured! As shown in the pictures, size appears to be 73"x16". I'm a little nervous to attempt this myself so will probably contact my dealer.
