It seems like there isn't a published weight limit to the boondock platform.
For those overly-cautious types like myself, here's a word of warning. This weekend I had a friend who wanted to check out my bike that was hanging from my bike rack on the tongue of the trailer. He hopped up on the platform (I cringed internally), check the bike out and hopped back down.
Upon closer inspection I realized that the longer triangular support closer to the trailer that supports the "wings" of the platform had slightly bowed/bent under the weight. Nothing huge but I'm pretty sure his weight (maybe 170lbs) caused it.
Just a word of caution about overloading those platforms. I'm sure nobody is loading up 170lbs worth of gear on one side of the platform but if you've got a generator on there and the trailer is bouncing up and down on a rough dirt road, I can see those live loads being pretty heavy during the bouncing.
I'm considering applying some "Stay the *bleep* off the platform" stickers but maybe that's overkill
