Replacing battery and converter, PD4600 and 100amp Li

Battery (LI) replacement complete, but having problems with the PD 4600.  1st problem is the positive post on the 4600 board has only one terminal and the WFCO 8955 had 2, and 2 red leads.  While I can trace one red lead to the battery, the other is a mystery: should it be joined to the single post, and where does it go?  2nd problem is converter itself is possibly not functional - anyone have this problem?  Reading some info says that with battery switch off, shore power plugged in, the converter should power all DC equipment...makes sense, but anyone else have this experience?  The 4600 is brand new.
