    Thermocell -- a great investment. Keeps Mosquitos away, and some other bugs, too. It sure worked in the woods during turkey hunting season.

    Walmart and Amazon are the least expensive for refills. I bought a case of refills on Amazon.

    I use the handheld because it is more versatile for my use. It works in camp, it works hiking, hunting  or on the patio. I already have enough lamps, candles, etc.

    Verna, I just looked up the thermacell on Amazon. It states "not to be used in backyard settings." Do you know what they mean by that?

    I have no idea, Bob. My brother and I sat in the woods near streams with the Thermocell between us on the ground, and neither of us had any adverse effects. I intend to use it in the backyard this summer, as well at the picnic table when camping. I think my box says not to use it inside a tent.
