2018 Tab 320S plastic tub bracket failure

Greetings,
Has anyone had issues with internal plastic tub metal frame base welds failing? After a couple years of normal use ( no off road/ 4WD). The bracket weld failed and adjacent plastic cracked broke. I contacted Nucamp to see if this was a recurring issue ( they said no) yet my local dealer ( Windish) in Denver just did a similar fix/ replacement with the new metal tubs ( they quoted $1,000 just part and shipping!) I removed the tub ( photo) and noticed bracket weld cracked on each side of tub.
any ideas? Suggestion ?

This may be a little late to help but perhaps it may help someone else.

I notice a similar problem with cracks like yours while making a modification to install a front storage box.  The problem is a fatigue issue stemming from the fact there is no bracing to those vertical angle iron post.  In your case the crack has completely failed the vertical support.

That can be welded back together but to prevant future failure some simple bracing of the vertical angle iron members needs to be installed (I used just some flat steel like 1 inch x 1/4 inch welded on a 45 degree angle.

I think you can see them in this picture from my post:

I should point out that I cut my support frame in half to install each half on the side of my storage box but the repair you need is the same as I did to repair mine.

If you can weld, it's an easy fix after your take everything apart, otherwise you could have a local welder make the repair and install the extra bracing.
