Crooked Fantastic fan cover

While camping, the wind caught the fan’s exterior cover and now when the cover is open the side with the arm is about 1”  higher.
It does open and close but doesn’t lock. The ‘lid’ isn’t bent, just lopsided.
I thought about removing the fan’s interior insect screen and try to straighten the cover but cannot get the screen off; I can swivel the screen frame but that’s it.

I did try tapping the crooked side with a pool noodle but that didn’t work.

Any suggestions are welcome…

You might need to take a ladder and get up near the top and examine the arm on the fan hood as it sounds like it’s bent. Here is a video that will show you how to remove the screen.
