Simple Antenna Mast Setup For OTA Antenna
Have a King Omni Go Portable OTA antenna (normally sits on small tripod). Wanted a mast to put it up higher. Came up with simple and easy solution using:
Extendable painter’s pole (used 5-12 ft)
Magnetic pick up tool attachment
Push coax connectors
Fishing pole holder or heavy duty suction cups
Just screw magnetic pickup tool adapter to end of painter’s pole and drop in fishing pole pole holder mounted to front of platform or attach to side of camper with dual suction cups and Velcro straps. Set antenna on top of pickup tool attachment (they’re both magnetic and hold nicely). Push on cable to bottom of antenna and other end to coax on side of trailer (or in Nautilus on newer T@Bs. Have Jensen TV scan for channels and you’re up and running. 👍 I may put pipe foam insulation around part of painters pole and attach it to T@B handle with Velcro for extra stability.
