Kitchen window screen issue - T@b 400

One of the bug screen cords on my kitchen window has “delaminated” for want of a better term. The outside sheathing has broken away from the tie down, unfortunately not at the corner tie down, but at the upper part in the middle of the screen. The sheathing is bunching up on the side and preventing the screen from being deployed (so screen in place). 

Unlike the front and back shades, the black string for the bug screen doesn’t come to opposite corners, but from the lower corner to upper middle. The upper attachment isn’t easily viewable. I have (and has used!!) the instructions for the “type 2” font and rear screens, but cannot find any docs on the different style kitchen screen. Does any one happen to have anything. One way or another, I’ll dig in, but prior knowledge is always helpful.

Does anyone have a source for or acceptable substitute for this cord if a need to replace it?
