Stubbed toe on passenger end panel by door

I have now stubbed my toe several times on the end panel of the cabinet under the window on the passenger side by the door on my 2022 320S BD.  It sticks out about 1.5" past the bed support that slides out.  I thought I read a post where someone trimmed this panel but I can't find it. I'd like to remove the panel so I can trim it neatly, round the corner and finish properly.  It looks like there are a three screws holding it to the floor (one in the convector area) and three screws along the seat support board.  Has anyone done this?

I'm right there with you.  We've already knocked off the wood laminate edge banding at the base.  I plan on experimenting this summer with some type of solution.

I stubbed and/or brushed that edge a few times too. My solution was to put a vertical strip of furniture (leg) padding next to edge banding at the base.  It works to protect the banding and somewhat soften the blow.
