Leaking Shower Control Valve 2021 T@B 400

Anyone know how to fix leaking Shower water control valve in 2021 or similar T@B 400? Water is leaking heavily out of the handle/control valve when shut off. Picture of which valve I'm referring to is below.

I believe these valves are similar to what you’d find on kitchen faucets with a side-mounted lever. My guess is you can pop off the hot/cold emblem and use an Allen wrench to remove the handle and gain access to the valve itself. They usually remove by loosening a retaining nut. As far as a replacement you’d have to measure the diameter as I think that’s how they are sized and they seem to be pretty common.

I should add that trying to tighten the retaining nut may fix your problem.

Thanks about the suggestion of checking the bonnet nut. I have not had a chance to dig into it yet, because we're on the road. But that is something I'll definitely look at. I also contacted new camp tech and got a part number for a new control valve if I need one.

In case anyone else needs it, the part number it is:
Hot & cold mixer valve - Part number 68-60-553

I was able to take the shower handle off today, and sure enough, the cartridge hold down nut (bonnet nut) was completely loose.
I was able to hand tighten it so that it is now leak free, but the nut requires some sort of specialty tool to really tighten it properly. The outside is very smooth, round chrome, with two indents on the inside surface of the nut, 180 degrees apart, that require an internal style wrench with pins to fit into he indents. I used a flat blade screw driver and drove both the indents in the tighten direction, which seemed to work pretty well, perhaps even well enough. I guess time will tell!

Thanks again for the suggestion. As soon as I read it, I was pretty confident you were correct.

@ChrisFix glad you got it sorted out. I’ll have to pop my handle off and check it out. Not sure what tool you’d use to tighten it.
