Has anyone just removed exterior plastic trim (corner)?

Needing to repair mine which is coming loose/up at the junction over the door (Tab 400), and wondering if anyone has just removed it, the problem with it? I realize it's sort of a 'design element' for T@bs, but not one I'm sure I care much about. Would probably look more like a modern Little Guy, but again, I just want to use my trailer and seems like repairing may be only a temporary solution. Since we take our trailer off road a fair amount, I'm guessing the flexing causes the screwed attachment points to fail over time, as the plastic has broken away where previously screwed (I think my 2020 is before they used plastic trim with the 'slot' for screws.
