Tires

What size tire is being used on the 2024/2025 T&B Boondock?  The brochure gives the size for the non-Boondock tire, i.e., 205/75R15 only.

You did not say what model T@B , but all the 24/25 Boondock models use 235/75R15 . Its pretty easy to find on NuCamp's website. Sometimes the printed brochure is lacking compared to the website , but I am surprised the brochure doesn't list the Boondock tire size ? It's been the same size for years.

I have a 2021 tab 400 Boondock.  Yes, my tires are the ST 235 R 15, however the tires sat for a long time without the trailer being used - until I bought it - and they will no longer balance.  I prefer a non-agressive tire so I was thinking about going to a ST 225 R 15.  What I was inquiring about was the tire being used on the 2024/25 t&b "non-boondock" edition - just for comparison.  I'm not overly concerned about ride height, or the capacity for that matter, as either the 245 or the 225 are both overkill IMHO!  The OEM spare for my 2021 t&b 400 is a ST 205 R15, if that means anything

I meant to say 2024/25 "Boondock" edition.

The Goodyear Endurance in the 225/75R15 would be a good choice , and quite a popular option for those who have the "Boondock" model , but dont really need the aggresive tires that come standard on the boondaock models. The size is slightly smaller , but is a great fit and is absolutely the most reliable / best trailer tire on the market .
Also , it comes in the 205/75R15 if you want / need to go smaller yet . Perfect for the non boondock models, but will also work on the Boondock wheels to lower the stance a bit .

Thanks for the information.  The slightly smaller profile of the 225 should also make removal and re-mounting easier, as the 235 is a tight fit with the wheel trim.

My 2021 tab 400 doesn't have the flat jacking points others have mentioned, leaving just the axle mounting flange as a jacking point.  I'd hate to have to change a tire in the field!

I'm so nervous. We have a 2019 Boondock and I need to get tires. I've seen people talk about taking it to discount tire and getting the Goodyear Endurance in the 225/75R15 but I am worried about them screwing it up. I know there is a special spot you have to put the jack and I have a picture of that somewhere but I'm sure it's also easy to find online.

Can you explain what you mean by aggressive tire? We don't off-road is that what you mean? I mean we've traveled in a few rough areas but we are primarily on the highway.

And it doesn't look like our tire will come off without taking off the trim, would that be accurate for a Boondock model?

The stock 235/75r15's will last a long time - but when I wore min out, I went with a better tire for less money and installed Toyo Open Country AT tires. I pulled my T@B from California to Texas - then on moderate dirt 4x4 roads in Big Bend NP - I'm very pleased with them

NuCamp says trailer tires should be changed every 5 years and no way I am risking our custom T@B 320. It's worth a couple hundred bucks to save a $25,000 trailer.

I’ve never had to change either of my 2021 Tab 400 BD tires on the road (knock on wood), but when I replaced the original tires for Goodyear Endurance tires, the Discount Tire workers were able to do the job without removing the trim or deflating the tires. Didn’t look all that tough. The 225 GE tires have.been great, BTW. Traveled on them to Mexico and Canada this year with no issues. I like them a lot better than the original tires.

Binghi sadly the trim on the 320 blocks the tire by at least a couple inches on each side.

I bought my Goodyear Endurance today at Discount Tire and Auto and a local dealer will be installing them for me. Installation was the same price for discount tire or the dealer so I decided to go with the dealer since they know how to handle that trim and jack points.
