320 S 2021 model AC vent removal

MarkAlMarkAl Member Posts: 504
While trying to figure out how to remove the AC vent / tube from the side wall by the door (Pass bench area). Among other things I want to cut back in the front of the bench seat wood.  We're tired as we move between benches to leave, play in kitchen etc. stubbing our toe on the wood sticking out.

I thought instead of breaking the tube/vent so reuse would be a problem. I hoped someone on the forum has done this successfully. Any advice?

Ask and answered. I found by "gentle" prying the outer ring of the vent removes and 4 screws hold the assembly to the wood.  The by having the flex tube and vent visible realized that it is a tight fit with 2 clips holding the tube to the vent. It's likely to be a difficult process to nicely reconnect but it's not a destructive process.

When I replaced my vents, I re-connected the tubing using aluminum-backed duct tape. It worked pretty well.
