Wow. Who'd of thought? (well I did, a little bit...)
We have two 200W solar panels on our 320. We have an "Amazon special" cover for it. We normally keep it up under the house, but we have some hiccups coming where it will need to be stored outside, away from a power source. I really didn't want to store it outside without a cover and began wondering just how much UV gets through an "Amazon special" cover and would land on the solar panels.....
So I pulled it out into the sunlight with the cover on and the battery a bit depleted (to show maximum possible charge) and lo and behold, in full sun I was getting about 90W from the solar panels!!!! WOW! I expected a little, but not that much!! Full white top is MAXIMUM reflection of sunlight color!
Our parasitic draw is about 5-7W 24/7 ----- EASILY made up for by 3-4hrs of sun at 90W (showing 84W actually into the batteries after the charger)!!! I even turned our vent fan on very low (I've made the PWM switch change) and the 24/7 consumption only went up by 1W, so in theory, I could leave the vent fan on all the time on very low also!
