Water pump death (?)

Hi all,
2021 320s BD
So I’m on the Alcan and I’m having a great time, I love this drive, but I’ve had some issues w my 320s (somewhat new to me).
My water pump started knocking and sputtering rather violently tonight.  My accent and sink light were flickering so I switched it off.  Went out to check nautilus and all was good.  Tried the pump again and it did the same horrible sputtering and moaning then just quit.  Now when I flip the pump switch nothing happens.  My Maxxair fan and all the lights on that circuit all seem fine but the pump seems dead.  Any guesses what happened?  Any Jedi tricks I can try?  Thanks for any info,
KS

    Hello again.
I decided to try the pump again. It turned on and sounded normal but it gradually got louder and louder and began shuddering and sputtering so I shut it off.  Additionally, I heard gurgling and bubbling noises coming from my fresh tank.
It’s nice to know the pump isnt fried but my water system def has issues.
Thanks for any insights, ideas, advice.
    KS.

That's a tricky one.  Sounds like air is getting into the system.  Check the plastic filter cover at the inlet to your pump.  It screws off easily and the fine mesh can get plugged with particulate.

Sorry...also check the plastic pump cover for hairline cracks.
