Simple door trashcan mod. Installed Quick disconnects for the trashcan lid.

I like the door trashcan but putting a trash bag in it is a little tricky, and trying to get a full bag out is a huge hassle. The lid is in the way and not easily removed.  I found a pair of spring clips online that fit in the existing hinge holes. (Link below) I used a M6x1.0mm tap and threaded one sides hole. Installed one spring clip and bolted it in at the correct depth so the lid stays in like normal.

 5 minutes work! Less than $10 parts…

Now, I just pull the pin and easily remove the trash lid. I used one spring clip but you could do both sides, I recommend using a nylon nut or plastic washer to prevent metal on plastic rubbing against the frame.
