HELP - Door lock won't open - deadbolt spins either direction - 2013 T@B Maxx - HELP

Just happened...cannot get inside. Deadbolt lock spins in either directions, and feels like it's not engaged but cannot tell. The handle lock turns and handle feels like it's unlocked, and door gives a little, but something is locked. I cannot tell if it handle is opening but it's lock is stuck, or deadbolt spinning but it's stuck. Help please!

    We know what its like to get locked out. Happened in our 2029 400 in Jan as it was getting dark. Unless you are very handy with lock mechanisms I suggest you do a search for locksmiths in the area. They will likely be able to gain access and also tell you what happened. It is certainly safer than trying to force a door.

    Can anyone tell me a replacement lock - Amazon or Camping World or anywhere....I can order from and then have locksmith get this one open? I've emailed NuCamp but their auto responder says they are backlogged.

    Have you tried pushing against the door/banging the door while turning the lock ? Can you see the lever inside ? Any chance one of the windows is open so you can get inside ? 

    From your description of the lock having two separate cylinders it sounds your trailer has the ubiquitous RV lock, these are plentiful on Amazon.

    Yes....tried lifting, pushing, banging.... windows are all locked. Sigh.

    The new lock arrives on Thursday. From the youtube video I posted, it's the deadbolt that's hanging it up, as it spins freely

    The lock arrived and it was a complete drop in replacement. Note that it is mostly plastic whereas our OEM is mostly metal. But it fits in perfectly with no modifications needed. Hope this helps someone else.

    Too late to be of use to you, but I installed the RVLock with the keypad in my 2013 a long time ago. It's nice to be able to unlock the door without a key.
