Replacing the amber porch light (2022 T@b 320S)

The gasket around the porch light was crumbling, which was causing black streaks on the side of the camper. I was also concerned that water might be able to get inside. 
A new lamp is less than $30, and comes with a new gasket. There are only two screws holding it to the side of the camper, but you'll have to remove the switch panel on the inside to access the wires, and probably (like me) pull out the silicone sealant in the hole the wires feed through. One wire connects to the switch, the other connects to the ground bar. Snip snip, reattach with a Wago connector or wire nut, and you're good to go.  

I treated the entire new gasket with a UV protectant, and then for good measure, applied a small amount of silicone to better attach it to the aluminum lamp housing and keep moisture out. After cleaning the original sealant off the screw holes, I reapplied fresh silicone in the holes and screwed it back in. 

Pretty easy job, and hopefully this gasket lasts longer. I definitely plan to treat it at least monthly during the summer.

Multiple complaints about the porch light gasket streaking issue on this forum.  Many different treatments suggested.  Problem is the lack of UV resistance to the gasket material used by the porch light manufacturer.  I used the original porch light with a new gasket fashioned out of UV resistant EDPM:

No streaking seen after 1 year and counting.
