Our 3 Way (A/C, D/C and Propane) Norcold N4104 Refrigerator has been excellent until this summer while on the road in the NW. The Propane capability stopped working. Once home I started digging into the functionality of the fridge. I did the inspections and cleaning of the Gas Jet and what I could access without any luck. Finally found a Professional/Knowledgeable gent 2 hours away from home. He got out his voltmeter and probes and went to work. 30 minutes later, he removed the faulty "solenoid gas valve" after checking the voltage values when the refrigerator was turned on. He swapped out the bad one for one he had on hand. We hit the road to home happy campers. I will look into a new solenoid as a future spare.

Ever since then it actually works fine.
My present method is as follows if propane has been shutoff for some time (in between trips):
1. Turn on propane valve on bottle slowly
2. Go to kitchen stove and hold down igniter until stove lights to purge some of the air in propane line
3. Turn on fridge, set to gas and listen closely to fridge up by on/off switch. After about 2 seconds I can hear, faintly, the igniter click on. From that point I start counting the clicks since it will continue to click ~ every second until lit. In my 400, if it does not light after count 41 clicks/tries I get the error 3. I power the fridge off then on and do the same thing again. If the clicks stop before 41 I will hear a "whoosh" sound at the time of ignition.
Note: If the trailer has sat for some time it has taken me up to 5 tries of counting clicks. Usully it is somewhere around 3 for 4 tries to get it going. My "threshold" is 6, if after 6 attempts it is not lit I would go and hit the solenoid. Rinse and repeat. If it does not fire up after a few more I would need to check the system but have never needed to get to that.
