Removing "swoop" from T@B 400 cabinets, anyone know how?

Has anyone removed the "swoop" (can't think of any better word) from the rear top of the T@B 400 over sink cabinets? See attached picture! The 2 screws on the inside of the rear cabinet holds the cabinet top on and I can't find any other screws.

Nothing in my T@B is glued, so I don't think that is it. I'm thinking that maybe the cabinets are assembled and then screwed to the walls so the attaching screws are on the "swoop" side and thus not accessible without pulling out the entire cabinet.

Just trying to make that rear space more accessible and usable. If anyone has done this, let me know!

I think the pocket screws used to fasten that little piece are on the top so not accessible. They install when the cabinet is outside the camper. As I've had to deal with many hidden pocket screws when trying to do an upgrade, the solution that usually works for me is to gently pry the piece so it pulls out of the screw. The other solution is to remove the whole cabinet but that's never an easy task.

Try This instead. The pocket holes are accessible and by adding a piano hing and latch to the left side that section not only allows for better storage but also much easier access.

I heartily endorse @AndreO ‘s solution! I did this mod several years ago on our 2018 tab 400 after seeing his post and it is easily one of the top three or four mods we’ve done.

There are several (3-4-5??) pocket screws in the floor of the compartment pointing towards the center of the trailer. They need to be backed out toward the side of the trailer and the panel will come loose. I put a piano hinge and a touch latch on, and a locking mechanism to keep it closed during travel.

This storage area becomes MUCH more usable and easy to access after this modification.

I do like that idea. For simplicity it wins hands down but I prefer to have that area fully closed so I can store more and not worry about it all over the floor. I took the complicated approach with a door that closes off that area and kept the little corner piece which actually doesn't steal too much space. See my thread about cabinet upgrade.
