There seems to be mixed feelings on adding a microwave and to be honest I was reluctant since you loose valuable cabinet space but there are times that it is a nice thing to have. Since I split my time between boon docking and powered camp sites I thought the only way it made sense is if I could easily switch between microwave and cabinet. I think I found a good solution and in the process made much better use of that swoosh pocket which I always hated and though was more about looks than function.

I really missed the real maple wood from my tab 320S so went back to that instead of the plywood. It's certainly not a perfect match but that's ok with me as I lean a bit more on function over aesthetics.

My solution was to add a plug inside the cabinet and found a microwave with a perfect fit. https://a.co/d/0gkqw92f

added screws from the front for the wood that contains the microwave and finishes the top and bottom area with some capped screws to make it look more finished https://a.co/d/071wLZOG . The screws they provided were too small so I use my own. Pocket screws are not a good solution to repeated removal in my opinion and it's not practical in this situation. I added a shelf feature with a push type latch for holding the door Amazon Item

Overall I think this was a good solution for me and very easy to go back to original configuration or just to replace microwave with cabinet. It was a bit tricky to match the curve of the ceiling and you'll probably notice a few oops's but hey, that gives it personality. One of the drawbacks is that you end up with a few extra holes in the visible portion of the plywood when you add the cabinet door back but that's ok with me.
