Alde 1 kw vs 3 kw energy setting

As far as I can tell, the only time using the 2 kw setting could cause a problem is when I am hooked up to shore power at 15 or 20 amps as this could apparently overload the system, setting off a circuit breaker. Assuming this is correct, how should I think about when to choose 1 kw vs 2 kw?

    You answered your own question.
    If connected to a 30A (or 50A with an adapter) use the higher Wattage [faster heat]
    If connected to 15-20A then always use the lower wattage.

    If on 15-20A service and need heat fast . . . use propane.
