Red Error Alert on Log-in

This started a couple of days ago.
Don't know if it is my Desktop PC set-up or a Forum Host issue.

Browser: Firefox
Operating System: Win-11

Error occurs on Sign-in.
After error, close window, open new TAB Forum window - - - And Am Logged In.

So it appears Log-in is generating the error, stops the opening of the forum, but does actually log-in to my account.

I swear something like this happened to some owners who tried to join the group last year or so and they got rejected due to some error like this. Let me dig around a bit.

I can’t get on with my IPad mini 4. I get a blank screen. My highest update is 14.8. I don’t know if it’s an update issue or what. I’m using my wife’s IPad that’s newer.

@Pintoplumber @scott14 @MuttonChops Support has found that there is an unconfigured social add on for those who log in using Google. They want to know what social account (if any) you are using that creates the error. Looks like a reconfiguration on our end is the solution

It appears something has changed. I am not receiving the error. I successfully logged in on the device that was previously responding with the error.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S26, Firefox, and the Vanilla Forum log in screen (user name + password).

Thanks for confirming. Vanilla support is updating I believe but we needed to confirm if there were members using the Social sign on option. We will keep on it till it gets fixed. A lot of little tweaks in the Foundation theme apparently.

Here are the specific instructions that anyone who is getting the error can do to log the error for the support team:

To investigate further, could you please ask one or two members who are experiencing the issue to capture a HAR file while reproducing the error and share it with us?

    Here are the steps:

    1. Open the site in Chrome.
    2. Press F12 (or right‑click → Inspect) to open Developer Tools.
    3. Go to the “Network” tab.
    4. Check “Preserve log.”
    5. Clear the log (trash can icon).
    6. Have the member try to log in until they see the error.
    7. Right‑click anywhere in the Network list, select “Save all as HAR with content,” and save the file.
    8. Attach the HAR file to your reply.

This will let us see exactly what’s happening in the background when the error occurs and help us pinpoint the cause since there is no SAML SSO or OAuth2 SSO.

    Warmly,

    Luisa H.
    Customer Support Specialist

Just attach the HAR file and I can send on

    Thanks

With my iPad I don’t think I can do the list of things that are suggested. Here’s a shot of my iPad.

Vanilla support has removed the social account log in buttons and all members will now need to use their username and password to log in. Hopefully that will solve the glitch, but message me or post here if there are further concerns

    As scott14 noted on June28.
It appears for Win-11 with Firefox the Red Alert is gone away
