Alde heating parts

Has anyone been able to get parts to deal with the Alde corrosion issue? If so please let me know how and where!

Truma is refusing to sell direct to customers , even through a Truma dealer and NuCamp says they don't stock a number of the parts. Not to mention it takes weeks just to get pricing of the parts from NuCamp via dealers, never mind actually getting the parts. NuCamp has suggested I go directly to Truma. Ha, Catch 22!

Seeing as there are a huge number of people facing this corrosion issue you wouldn't think getting parts wouldn't be such a big deal. Also note that the dealers don't want to take on such a big project until the winter because thier focus is on dealer prep till then. I have lost the entire season to date with no end in site!

You are talking about the actual convectors? Or the various Alde parts?

Welcome to the world of "You Do Not Have The Right To Repair." Back before Truma took over in the US and pulled up the drawbridge, many owners were able to purchase various parts. I ordered some various things through "Missouri Teardrops". Some dealers are better at ordering parts than others. So try here:

Tell us what exactly you are trying to repair. The corroded convector ends can be dealt with in various ways.

Over on the FB page a couple of weeks ago, a 400 owner looked over all the dozens of threads and just dove in and changed his convectors with ordinary off the shelf copper ended heater convectors.

The fins will slide along the pipe, and the owner was able to adapt them to fit where the old convectors were, cutting the copper ends to fit.

In Europe, where owners do have the right to repair, there are many vendors that sell quite a lot of parts for the Alde. The trick is getting them to ship to the US. This is just one of many examples of a search for "22 mm Alde convector". These are exactly what we use in the US Aldes.
