No A/C after power blinked

Made a trip up to Winchester, TN and was hopeful we would get away from the 95°/95% humidity in central Alabama. No such luck. It's 92°/98% humidity this weekend. :(

We also found out that the Air8 unit will not come back on automatically if there was a power loss. We left this morning and stopped by the store on the way out and the power blinked off only for a few seconds while we were in the store. We didn't think anything of it but when we got back from eating out and driving some back trails, we came back to a Tab sitting at 101°.

Otherwise it's been a nice little campground and getaway. Has anyone thought of a way to keep this from happening?

That 'event' was a function of the AIR8, not something nüCamp can control IMHO.

Few appliances have true built-in uninterruptible power supplies to cover short power interruptions. Many do have simple large capacitance capacitors that can hold/keep the voltage for a very short moment of time.

Big picture considering how appliances these days are digital logic controlled, a full (controlled) shut down would be more helpful than attempting to "stay on". If the AIR8 came back-on via your action and worked normally - - - then that is a big win.

Well somebody at nucamp picked the Air8 with a fancy electronic control panel but didn't think about the often flakey power on campgrounds (most of the people designing and building travel trailers don't own one). My ancient 2015 has a standard window AC unit with mechanical rotary switches. Sometimes newer is not better… :)

This was just something that I had not anticipated. Our last camper had a window unit and it would come back on. The mini-split A/C units in my home also resume operation when power is restored. I was just happy we did not leave our puppy in the RV when we went out.
