How to remove dirt clog in water tank air vent hose 2019 T@B 320S

(PS there isn't a category for T@Bs?)

Hello, I'm new to all this. We recently bought a 2019 T@B 320S, (no Nautilus) and in getting to know its systems, I've found a dirt clog in the gravity fill air vent pipe, about 8" below where the pipe joins the gravity fill spout. I know it's dirt because a pipe cleaner inserted at the top came out dirty and gritty. I don't want to push the clog down into the water tank. The pipe is really inaccessible from the inside near the fill spout. Also, the tie-wrap they used to attach the vent pipe to the fill pipe is too tight, so the clog is kind of stuck there. I could probably manage to cut the tie wrap, but that's about all I could do from that point without breaking my arm.

I'm thinking of (1) cutting the pipe under the sink where I can access it, and then either blowing the clog out with compressed air or pushing it up and out with a very long pipe cleaner, and then (2) splicing with a plastic barbed connector.

Am I missing anything here? Am I going to screw our new trailer forever?

1st photo shows clog, gravity fill spout is to the right. 2nd photo is under the sink where I'd cut and splice the clear pipe.

Thanks for any advice you can give me! Louise C.

    (PS there isn't a category for T@Bs?)

There is not a specific T@B 320 category by design. The older trailers and Cirrus truck campers have their own, and ALL the other categories are for ALL T@B models (320/360/400/Haven) And even a few Barefoots since the basic systems are shared

PS Your dirt clog may be a dirt dauber nest based upon the location. Water should dissolve the dirt but I would then drain the tank directly and not try to operate the water pump. Just a thought.

Not sure how you got the photo, but…good for you. This is, sadly, one of the most difficult areas of the trailer to access. There have been issues in the past with the city water connections failing, and owners sacrificing scrapes and bruises to get into that space. Owners who had it happen twice simply cut open access panels behind the toilet (after removing the toilet) to make this a much easier process. Look over the thread below, which has pictures and descriptions of exactly what is behind the wall. Once you can get back there, you should be able to replace that hose that connects to the PVC pipe that runs under the sink.
