I have seen this device used on Little Guy trailers in the past by members and thought I would post it up here for those looking for a solution to the spare tire storage dilemma and ease of access therein.  This has a lot of potential and is quite clever in how this guy retrofitted and mounted it to his RV using available resources and ingenuity.

Mike, allegedly, the new T@B's were supposed to have some sort of a lowering device for the spare tire. Just a rumor I've heard. I expect it would be like an '83 pickup I had--a cable system that cranked down with a rod--not as elaborate as your video.

My 2002 Sienna had a crank thing that could be used to lower and raise the spare tire. You'd still have to get down on the ground. AAA sure didn't appreciate it.
