How can I search for info on the forum?

We get a lot of inquiries from people looking for in formation on the forum and this is why the forum exists, because we are here to help out new members and prospective new owners and others looking for information about Little Guy units and teardrop trailers.  There is also a very easy way to ferret out information on the forum that already exists and that can save you a lot of time.  The following tutorial should simplify things and help you find what you are looking for quicker or in a more timely fashion:

TUTORIAL: How to use the search function

Step 1: Scroll to the top of this page until you see something like this.

Step 2:  Look in the upper right-hand corner of the page, just about the discussion categories and you will find the "Search" function.

Note:  Regardless of whether you are on the forum front page area or looking at an individual discussion within the forum the "Search" box will always show up in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

Step 3:  Place your mouse cursor inside the search box and "click on" this area.

a.  You will now see a line blinking to the left of the word "search" and you can now type in any search word or sentence you wish to look for within the forum area.
b.  Once you have entered your text (my example below uses "Coleman Stove" as a search item), click on the magnifying glass and the next screen should look similar to the example illustrated below.
c.  Your search will now show a listing of topics and subject matter related to your prior search entry.  Notice that my prior search criteria "Coleman Stove" is highlighted in yellow below and is shown in different topics previously discussed.  The search also will show the search criteria alone.(e.g. the word "stove") as you can see that the word "stove" comes up and is highlighted in yellow.
D.  Search results are arranged in chronological order, the freshest posting is listed first and the following postings are listed by chronological dates and should take you back to the first known post of 'like' search criteria that you have entered into your search.

Step 4:   By scrolling down to the bottom of your search results, you will notice that there is the word "Next" in blue text.  Click on "Next" and you will now be able to scroll to the next page of your search information (should there be additional information available).  By scrolling to the bottom of the page you can also scroll both forward and backward.

NOTE:  You might encounter a "blank" looking search results area (with no search info visible) in the first click back, but click again (and again if necessary) on the "Previous" button and the prior search information should come up and be available.

In closing, by using the forum "search function" feature you are able to easily find valuable/available and useful information quickly as opposed to waiting for members to respond to your questions.  We certainly welcome all questions as this is why the forum was created (to help people and share innovative ideas, etc.), but by utilizing the search feature you have the ability to easily find information you are looking for and in most instances your subject matter has previously been discussed and answered by forum members as the forum has been up and running for a long time.
