Redeem My Points?

I noticed while browsing the Teardrop Shop today that you can redeem your points in lieu of money when purchasing an item.  For example, if an item costs $4.00, you can get if for 400 points (at least I think that's the way it works).  Is that cool or what?  My question is, how do you accumulate points?  Is it by the number of visits you make (signed in, of course), the number of comments you make, or through the "likes" you get, or a combination of activities?

If it's through "likes," I want everyone to like everything I say. :)

You need to sign up and log in to buy things. The points accumulate in your account.

IIRC you get some number of points for signing up.

I have to give kudos to wonderful Jessica at the TDS. I don't recall the point system being available when I ordered my awning. On my next visit I noticed the program was available and emailed Jessica, who very kindly and promptly added the awning points to my account.
