New Alde smell?

I will be posting trailer pictures later :-) but is it normal for the Alde to have a "hot appliance" smell the first time it is used?

Yes. Ours smelled like hot rubber or plastic or something for the first six months or more.

Now ours smells like Irish Spring soap! (as mouse repellant)

Yep, like a hot radiator hose - Goes away. A little air freshener in the mean time.
