What a T@B U looks like without rear cabinets

I posted earlier a question about the cabinets being structurally required for the trailer.   Since they weren't required and I wanted more open headroom, I removed the cabinets on our new trailer.  I also increased the height of the board at the rear of the bed to add a bit of storage back there and put on a small bull-nosed piece of trim on the back plywood piece since the factory had left it unfinished.  The fourth picture shows the storage area without the piece of plywood that covers the opening about 3" below the top of the board.

Attached are some pictures of the results. I still need to run a silicone bead around the speaker cabinets and fill in a few unused small screw holes with putty..  The trickiest part was removing the existing silicone bead from the back wall with a razor blade without going into the veneer.

Yes, we lost some storage but it's more than made up for in my opinion with additional headroom.
